REHAB AT THE MCGANN RANCH
Why do we only offer custom packages? There are many options for Equine rehabilitation board. Here at McGann Ranch we have a vision to create a program dedicated to the horse. All horses here have a custom plan and receive daily care, handling, therapy, and enrichment. We strive to improve the overall comfort and peace of the horse to target pain and disfunction. We empower horses and their caretakers through experience-based methods to heal hooves and the whole horse.
What is included in my horses stay at MR?
Simply put…EVERYTHING is included in your quoted price.
· Appropriately sized housing based off their current mobility. Evaluated daily and increased when appropriate.
We have 3 different barn stall sizes 12x12, 12x24, and 12x60
2 outdoor 15x15 turnouts in pasture
1 shed with 15ft attached run
· Daily feeding of hay. Several options of variety, options for metabolically safe hay, and options for either free choice or meal feeding.
· Feeding of owner supplies grain and supplements
· Daily medication administration. Will follow vet approved plan for all medications. Oral, IM, IV, and Eye medication options. We currently do not accept horses on IV Catheters or medications requiring CRI.
· Bandage changes
· Grooming-
Brushing, Bathing, spot treatments, and laundry included.
· Holding for veterinary, body work, and hoof care.
· Hoof care packages will be included in all rehabilitation board. We do not offer nailing options and horses on free choice or hay nets must be in barefoot or composite packages
· Body work
· Shockwave and cryotherapy included
· Daily handling. Hand walk, stretching, range of motion, in hand work, turn out.
· Blanketing and fly gear
· Anything else we think will help your equine friend enjoy their stay with us
Please note we will give you a care plan that will outline the plan for your horse. This will include a rate for their stay. This rate does NOT include veterinary care or costs associated with vet recommended diagnostics or changes to care plan.
